• Take the Crooked Road. Get a taste of the region’s music with the family behind Crooked Road Music: a private music class with local musician, Stevie, where you’ll learn all about Appalachia, folk music, and even get to use a few instruments.
• Get Out + Explore. Set out for a family hike on the Old Appalachian Trail.
• Family Picnic. Grab a picnic lunch and head to the scenic overlook at the Gazebo with spectacular views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
• Explore the Blue Ridge Parkway. Pick up a picnic lunch for the whole family to take for a day over exploring the beauty of the Blue Ridge Parkway, with a sweet stop in Meadows of Dan at Nancy’s Candy for local fudge.
• Meet Floyd. Explore the home of Crooked Road Music in the town of Floyd perusing the Floyd Farmers Market, The Floyd Country store for an afternoon coffee, and other local artisan shops
