Picture this: A sun-drenched afternoon spent zipping through the countryside in a Mini Moke. A quiet morning mastering the art of Polo at the Saint-Tropez stables. A hands-on pastry class where the secrets of the Tarte Tropézienne are finally revealed.
Whether it’s a high-energy tennis match or a peaceful electric bike ride through rolling vineyards, the Château curates moments that linger long after your stay.
A Château Steeped in Romance and History
Perched in the hills of Saint-Tropez, framed by the rolling vineyards of Ramatuelle, Château de La Messardière is more than a landmark—it’s a living story of love, legacy, and timeless elegance.
Built in the 19th century as a wedding gift from wealthy cognac merchant Gabriel Dupuy d’Angeac to his daughter Louise and her husband, cavalry officer Henry Brisson de La Messardière, the château was a sanctuary of art, nature, and family. Here, the couple raised seven children, savoring long horseback rides through the sun-drenched countryside of the Var region.
But fate had other plans. After Henry’s untimely passing, Louise reimagined the château, opening its doors to distinguished guests. By the Roaring Twenties, it had become a playground for Parisian aristocrats, where jazz notes floated through gilded halls, champagne flowed freely, and lavish soirées echoed the glamour of a bygone era.
Today, Château de La Messardière retains its spirit of grandeur, inviting guests to step into its storied past while indulging in the refined pleasures of the present.
