Every year, as the Christmas season rolls in, The Holiday goes straight to the top of my must-watch list. There’s just something about the cozy charm of the British countryside, the snow-dusted romance, and, of course, that impossibly adorable cottage that makes me want to move to Surrey.
You can actually stay at a dreamy Surrey spot that brings film magic to life! Beaverbrook offers this amazing film-inspired experience called Surrey on Film. While it’s a bit too late for us to grab a slice of that dream this year, I’m already mentally booking it for next Christmas. (Yes, I’m that person who plans December trips in January.)
‘Surrey on Film Package’ What’s included?
- Two nights accommodation
- Daily breakfast
- Access to The Coach House Spa Facilities, from check-in until check-out, including the indoor heated pool, outdoor heated pool, thermal spa area, padel tennis court, pickleball courts, and tennis court.
- Available from 15th November to 31st March.
Half-Day Included Tour:
- Personal driver tour guide
- Mini Cooper transport, just like the one ‘Amanda’ drove (other classic cars are available), and drive along the same scenic Surrey road routes.
- Explore the charming, chocolate-box local village where the movie was filmed.
- See the actual cottage that inspired the design of Rosehill Cottage.
- Guided walk through the stunning countryside, taking in panoramic views and visiting the location where Rosehill Cottage’s film set was built.
- Visit the historic footbridge that Amanda ran across when she decided to return to Graham and replicate the scene if you wish!
- Visit the 12th-century church, which is featured in the movie, and learn about its fascinating history.
- Lunch at the pub and choose to enjoy a meal at the very table where Graham and Amanda had their first date (lunch not included.)
- Indulge in a spot of Christmas shopping, sampling some of the local artisan goodies Amanda enjoyed.
- Professional photographs taken throughout the tour by your guide, a former location scout. Edited, high-resolution images will be sent to you as a souvenir of your time in Surrey Hills.
And as if that isn’t magical enough, they’ve upped the festive ante with a picture-perfect ice skating rink that is open from 23 November 2024 to 30 January 2025. Picture this: skating under twinkling fairy lights, hot cocoa in hand, all while soaking in those picturesque surroundings. (If that’s not giving main character energy, I don’t know what is.)
