A bit of history
Lord Beaverbrook was a big name in British politics, media, and high society during the early to mid-20th century.
As the owner of the Daily Express and Sunday Express, his influence was massive. A close friend of Prime Minister Winston Churchill, he was appointed Wartime Minister of Aircraft and led the famous “Saucepans for Spitfires” campaign.
This genius initiative ramped up Spitfire production and played a key role in Britain’s victory in the Battle of Britain. Today, the iconic Spitfire lives on as the logo for Beaverbrook.
Families at Beaverbrook
It’s no surprise Beaverbrook is a top pick for family getaways. With plenty of spacious interconnecting rooms, an on-site cinema, swimming pools, and loads of fun activities to dive into, there’s something for everyone.
Plus, the beloved kids’ club—run by the UK’s leading children’s entertainment pros, Sharky & George—means your little ones will be happily entertained all day long, leaving you free to relax and enjoy your stay.
Experience a taste of England’s high life at Beaverbrook, a beautifully restored country house just outside London, tucked away in the Surrey Hills on 470 acres of stunning countryside.
Spend your days at a relaxed pace—cycle through the grounds, play tennis, padel, pickleball, or croquet, and soak in the impressive collection of rare art. Recharge with a dip in the indoor or outdoor pool at the magical spa.
When it’s time to eat, enjoy sushi and Ishiyaki Wagyu at the Japanese Grill or cozy up with comfort food at the charming Garden House. Finish your day with a private movie screening in the wood-paneled cinema, a historic gem that Lord Beaverbrook first installed back in 1910.
James Bond fans will love the collector photograph of Roger Moore as 007 in the Ian Fleming Studio Suite, one of The House’s individually appointed rooms named for famous houseguests.
